My wife and I just had our daughters communion party yesterday and we had Papazzio caterer it. They were excellent. Dominic and his staff were the best. The food was delicious and the drinks were plentiful. My wife and I were able to enjoy the day because Dom and his staff took care of everything. They set the place up nicely and served all the food and drinks and did all of the cleanup at the end. Our guests loved all of the food and had a really good time. I would strongly recommend using Dom and his staff for any events you have.

I recently hosted my son’s baptism party at Papazzio and had a wonderful experience. Both Danny and Cathy were accommodating to our needs, easy to get in touch with, and flexible to our requests and to some last minute changes. The service during the party was great and the prices were very fair. I liked that they had different options we could choose from (sit down vs buffet), included an occasion cake, and had drink package options. We enjoyed the food and the atmosphere of the restaurant as well. I didn’t need to decorate much because the inside had its own nice vibe to it. I would definitely host another party here in the future!

I recently hosted a holiday party for about 45 people. The restaurant is cozy enough that they were able to close for us, so we had the whole place to ourselves. Everything was great! Kathy was awesome in helping to coordinate everything. Terrific communication via email and phone. The food and service were great. We were able to add valet parking, which for anyone who knows Bell Blvd, was a tremendous perk. The per person price was very reasonable. All of my guests were extremely happy, and so was I.
This was the first time I've ever been here and wouldn't think twice about coming back for dinner or to host another event.

Dominick opened Papazzio in 1990, naming the restaurant in honor of his beloved uncle, Angelo. The name "Papazzio" is a playful blend of the Italian words for "father" and "uncle." Uncle Angelo owned and operated Angelo’s Beauty Salon at the very same Bell Boulevard location for over thirty years, retiring in 1989. Dominick chose to carry on the family legacy by transforming the space into a welcoming neighborhood restaurant.
The heart of Papazzio’s kitchen is Luis Alfaro, who has been leading the culinary team for over two decades. As head chef, Luis brings passion and creativity to every dish he prepares. His dedication is especially evident in his weekly specials, which reflect both his love for cooking and his deep understanding of Italian cuisine.
Food critics and customers alike call Papazzio “Bayside’s treasure” and “Bayside’s best-kept secret.” Located at 40th Avenue and Bell Boulevard in Bayside, Queens, Papazzio has long been a favorite among locals. Our customers come from all over the tri-state area to enjoy a unique fusion of Northern and Southern Italian cuisine. Papazzio has also become known for its gluten-free options—over 95% of our dishes can be prepared gluten free, and we take great care to avoid cross-contamination in every step of the process.
